With a variety of offshore wind farms already approved in the North Sea and Baltic as well as participation in these projects by major power corporations and financially sound companies, an extensive market for offshore foundation structures is currently under development in Germany. Thanks to innovative manufacturing techniques and the wide range of services offered by the Georgsmarienhütte Group of Companies of whose support it can avail, WeserWind is ideally positioned for participation in and tapping of this market. Research platforms such as the Fino I or wind metmasts for measuring and recording wind and weather conditions at various offshore wind farm sites are already being constructed. These are of key significance for feasibility studies by investors as well as later control of offshore wind farms. WeserWind GmbH not only offers serial production of offshore foundation structures but is also in a position to offer complete wind metmasts and prototypes for offshore power stations such as the “Amrumbank West” wind metmast, for example. We do not limit ourselves to manufacturing for the offshore wind industry, but can also provide components supplied with a service contract upon request. We are thus capable of guaranteeing up to 95% data availability for wind metmasts, for example. Furthermore, we are able to produce large components such as liquid gas tanks (diameter: 7 metres; length: 70 metres; weight: 450 tonnes) at our production facility in Bremerhaven. Our direct loading plant with dockside sliding systems of up to 1,200 tonnes and the possibility of utilising floating cranes with lifting capacities of up to 600 tonnes also offer ideal conditions.
