WeserWind bundles theory and practice

In realising our projects, we combine the special know-how of experienced engineers and the scientific strengths of approved research and development institutes such as the Fraunhofer Institut with the valuable experience of our production partners. We analyse innovative welding technologies, new materials in surface protection and high-tech digital building site simulations, for example, by measuring them critically according to approved methods.

Examples of projects:
Project 1: Development of a TRIPOD foundation structure for offshore wind turbines with reduced weight under consideration of an economic production possibility.

Project 2: Development of an intelligent production control system with geometric component measuring for serial production of heavy steel structures for offshore wind turbines.

Project 3: Development of an economically competitive process combination for serial production lines of offshore steel foundations with innovative surface processing technology.

Project 4: Development of a novel assembly concept combined with production of steel foundation structures with innovative concrete components.

Project 5: Development of a novel transport concept for wind turbines including foundation structures combined with testing new foundation processes for fixation on the soil.

Project 6: Preinvestigation of applications for electron-beam welding for offshore wind turbine foundations.

Project 7: Concept development for a procedure in order to constructively optimise offshore wind turbine foundation structures by detecting the true loads and by using advanced simulation systems.

These projects were proportionately supported by the European Union (EU) and the State of Bremen by the Bremerhavener Gesellschaft für Investitionsförderung und Stadtentwicklung mbH (BIS).
